Scoping
The scope of the project encompasses the following aspects:
- Description of project and requirements
- Identification and description of elements likely to be impacted by the project or to impact the project
- Consideration of alternatives for site locations and layouts, as well as rationale for choosing preferred options
- Identification and assessment of impacts and significance on air quality, noise, water quality, marine ecology, fisheries, cultural heritage and landscape
- Investigation of infrastructure and mitigation measures to minimize pollution and environmental disturbance
- Identification, prediction and evaluation of residual and cumulative impacts
- Identification and assessment of methods during construction and operation to reduce residual and cumulative impacts
- Investigation of extent of secondary environmental impacts arising from mitigation measures, with proposed modifications
- Investigation of adequacy of assessment and identification of outstanding issues
- Design of environmental monitoring and audit requirements
